Biography

Tayla-Leigh Payne is a Welsh composer and sound artist based in London. She graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Composition and Creative Technology and undertook postgraduate studies in Composition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Tayla explores both notation and electronic music within her composing, her styles vary greatly from classical, contemporary, electronic, hybrid, theatre and interactive audio installations.

AND JUST LIKE THAT IT WAS ALL OVER!😆😣 I can’t begin to explain how grateful, amazed and speechless I am for not only the opportunity to bring this installation to life but for the amazing works my colleagues have done for this years Atmospheres Festival! I have had the pleasure of being around some of the most amazing artists for 4 years of my college degree and you all still continue to blow me away! I would also like to say a huge thank you to ...(long list ahead), Owen Lloyd, Ceri Tippetts, Odilon Marcenaro for their ongoing support throughout this project and for helping me build this installation from the ground up. I would also like to thank Daniel Soley and George Rigby for contributing their wonderful taping skills when rigging up the pressure pads.
